Adam Sadkowski
Commencing his career in 1968 Poland, Adam studied 5 years of product design specialising in shoes, machining fabrics and leather. His passion for furniture did not come to full fruition until he came to Australia in 1982. Adams first Australian job was designing shoes, but he quickly followed his passion for furniture and landed his first design role for Supreme furniture in Bayswater in 1984. After 7 years of running the design and upholstery department at Supreme, he started his own business designing and manufacturing furniture for Bedford Furniture and Ultimo interiors. In 2005 he found his dream job and became the head designer and production manager at Artifex Australia. Since then, and to this day, he has designed many of Artifex’s iconic pieces which are loved by many people around Australia and the world.
Michael D’Andrea
Michael always had a passion for making things out of timber, since he was a child he dabbled with making things with wood, metal, anything he could get his hands on. Having lived many years of his childhood in Italy, and after finishing high school in Germany, he came back home and completed an apprenticeship in cabinetmaking whilst also studying, furniture design, creative writing and project management. Michael has always had a lot of design ideas, and over the years has helped develop several designs for furniture manufacturers around Perth but he has never been able to express himself as much as he would like until purchasing Artifex Australia in 2015. Now he has the freedom to develop new furniture pieces alongside Adam, Alona, Cindy and the team at Artifex.
Alona Klaro
A sculptor, interior architect, and product designer. Alona draws on her range of unique skills and outlook to create products that foresee a requirement, that is not currently being met, where design intent captures not only the object's visual language, but the process and locality of manufacture, materials, supply chain, user experience, and end of life.
A strong desire and dedication to collaborating with local makers, creatives, and manufacturers has led the K.I.D brand to explore concepts of shopping small for big impact, circular economy, and dual origin to positively affect the commercial furniture industry.
Cindy Li
A motivated designer, passionate about art and creation, with a keen eye for detail and high organisational skills. Cindy has great concentration and anti -stress ability, with lots of patience and keen to deepen the understanding in the field of furniture ergonomics in a challenging environment.
Cindy joined Artifex Australia in 2021, for her high level of expertise in 2D drawings, 3D renders, and amazing Photoshop capability, to help customize high quality furniture.
