Passionate about all things furniture, Michael lives in Perth and spends most of his time managing Artifex, whilst also making time for his wife, three young kids and other passions including soccer, chess and mountain biking. Michael commenced his furniture career over 25 years ago starting out as a cabinet maker, manufacturing furniture for commercial and residential use. The years after completing his apprenticeship he went on to study furniture design, creative writing and small business, while working in sales and business development roles for high profile commercial furniture companies.
Artifex Australia has been a family owned and operated business since 1978, with original owners, Nick and Diana Moniodis, handing over their legacy to Michael in mid 2015.
Michael continues delivering the same service and quality, along with his experience that has brought new life, new ideas, and new designs into the business. Additional to his role at Artifex, Michael also holds the title of President for the Western Australian Furniture Manufactures Association (WAFMA).
When asked what he likes most about his job, Michael gives us a hint as to why we have such a comprehensive range of products at Artifex!!
